Dunn Takes Modified Title

 

 

 

 

Mesquite, TX (Sept 25) - Clyde Dunn, Jr. came into the night down 45 points, but did what he had to do, winning his heat and running second in the feature to take the USA modified crown. Johnny Miller capped his super sprint championship with a feature win, as did Walter Dorsett in the street stocks. Jimmy Goodwin claimed the championship sprint title for the second straight year. Tom Lorenz claimed the late model crown.

Lanny and Beverly Edwards will be hosting special events for the next four weekends.

October 1 & 2 - State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City will have their Winter Nationals final event. Several Devil's Bowl drivers and teams plan to make the trip to OKC.

October 8 & 9 will be the Winter Nationals at Lawton Speedway in Lawton Oklahoma.

Saturday, October 16 at Devil's Bowl in Mesquite will be the Sprint Bandits and the ASCS Sooner Region vs Gulf South Region Shootout for the ASCS Outlaw Sprint Cars. The Devil's Bowl USA Modifieds and Street Stocks will also be racing.

The Edwards fanily closes their 2004 season with the Devil's Bowl - 31st Annual O'Reilly Winter Nationals at Devil's Bowl. It will be the final race of the season for the ASCS Outlaw Sprint Cars National Series, and will also feature the super sprints, championship sprints, USA modifieds, late models and street stocks.
