Oct 27, 2006 Devil's Bowl

Mesquite, TX (Oct 27) - Ray Moore took off at the drop of the green flag and led the way to the checkers as the SUPR Late Models opened the two-day Texas Super Nationals at Devil's Bowl Speedway. Troy Taylor claimed the victory in the first race at Devil's Bowl for the SIMS Modifieds. Clyde Dunn, Jr. claimed the opening round USA modified victory. Johnny Philpot, Jr. topped the street stocks.

Clyde Dunn, Jr. was running second when the caution flew on the 12th lap. As the cars slowed he made contact with leader Chase Allen. Dunn was able to bring his damaged car to the checkered flag for the victory. Allen was forced to retire due to the damage. (Photo by Linda Fields)
