Clevenger Wins Super Sprints Daniel Takes Late Models Troutman Sweeps USA Outlaw Modifieds Trevathan Sweeps World Class Street Stocks Earl Sweeps USA Limited Modifieds
After a sixth place finish in the first Super Sprint heat race Matt Clevenger was first at the line in the A-main from his seventh starting spot. Second heat race winner and front row starter Todd Evans came home second. Russell Shoulders was third, Martin Edwards fourth and Kurt Summers fifth.
Patrick Daniel was second in the third Late Model heat, first in the Trophy Dash as well as the A-main from his tenth starting spot. Visitor Kyle Cummins was second at the line with Darren Ellis third. Garry Christian was fourth and Jason Trevathan fifth.
Jason Troutman won the second USA Modified heat race in route to clearing the opening Green Flag spin of Steven Purcell to win the A-main. Purcell started front row outside and looped it in front of the field on the start collecting most of the field. Johnny Dunn Jr looking to make it four in a row was collected up in the mayle. Several cars hit the pits including Dunn, Rick McCommas, Steve McMackin , Danny Caldwell and several others. The Red Flag stopped the field left on the Speedway as crews went to work in the pits. Once Dunn's crew sent him back to the track they turned their attention to last year points leader Danny Caldwell's car. Dunn being just a few points ahead of Caldwell going in to the night made no difference as they joined the crew of Late Model 24c in a joint effort to get Danny back in the race as well. We at Devil's Bowl saw Sportsmanship at it's Finest during this time. Danny came back to finish second with Johnny third. Richard Miller with heavy right side frame damage was fourth and Rick McCommas fifth.
Steve Trevathan won the second World Class Street Stock heat race on his way to Victory Lane, Early A-main leader Booby Bryant took a nasty ride after hitting the tractor tire just off of turn two. Johnny Philpot Jr was second at the line. Tim McManus was third, Harry Hronas fourth and Bubba Meeks fifth.
Tom Earl took the first heat race win in route to his A-main win in the USA Limited Modifieds. Once Tom celebrated Victory Lane he tore down his engine to be found completely legal. Tom started fifteenth on hi way to sweeping the night. Second heat race winner Michael Daniel was second at the line with a fourteenth starter Robert Vetter third.
